ESyS-Particle is Open Source software for particle-basednumerical modelling. The software implements the Discrete ElementMethod (DEM), a widely used technique for modelling processesinvolving large deformations, granular flow and/or fragmentation.ESyS-Particle is designed for execution on parallelsupercomputers, clusters or multi-core PCs running a Linux-basedoperating system. The C++ simulation engine implements spatialdomain decomposition via the Message Passing Interface (MPI).
